Workshops
DCC Modellers Day 12th November
This one day hands on workshops and has proved very popular for users of DCC equipment.
Based in the lovely Dorset town of Shaftsbury you can always allow your partner to enjoy the
town or even make a weekend of it in the Royal Chase Hotel where the day is held. IF you
contact the hotel direct and mention you are attending the ZTC Workshop then they have
special rates for you to book direct.
Itinerary
The day starts at 10am with coffee and an introduction on DCC in general. This is an up to date
lecture presentation.
How to fit decoders to your own models, fitting your first decoder under the supervision of
specialists can help to give you confidence so bring a couple of locos and your tools and we will
help you fit at least one decoder.
How to program it and get the most from the DCC system with a lot of expert tips.
How to wire you layout for operation. This covers reverse loop operation, boosters and how to
get points and signals working with lots of hands on help.
Although based on ZTC equipment the day is general enough for all DCC users and will find the
fitting of decoders and layout wiring very useful. If you haven’t taken the plunge but want to find
out more than this can be an ideal introduction try before you buy.
Refreshments
There will be breaks in the morning and afternoon for tea and coffee with a light buffet lunch and
we aim to finish at 4; 30pm.

The next dates are the 2nd July and the 6th August and will cost £45 for the day which includes
tea or coffee and lunch with a 5% discount voucher on any purchases. Book early as places are
